New Year... Goals for 2016

I am back!!!! This year I am going to blog so much more than last year... my goal is to write a blog post at least once a week.. you could say its one of my New Years Resolutions!

I have had something devastating happen in my life very recently and it got me thinking about life...

We all want to think that we have all the time in the world to do everything we want. I know this may seem like a bit of a dramatic statement to make at the age of 25 but its true and it is also true that we may not. This got me thinking about what I would like to achieve in 2016...

A very wise lady told me recently that we should always say, I will try instead of, I will when it comes to resolutions. It makes sure that we aren't too disappointed with ourselves if we don't achieve it.

Resolutions can be anything from cooking more creative dinners to finally bungy jumping in New Zealand (that is definitely not on my list) but I would like to share my goals for this year....

Get fitter - I would like to exercise at least 5 days a week. I would also like to go to 2 Pilates classes a week also.

Write in a journal every day - I have purchased a really cool 3 year journal. You get a different question every day and you answer it for the next 3 years. I cannot wait to read back what the year before was like and whether anything has changed.

Start designing again - I am really excited about this!! A few years ago I started my own label and I want to get back to that and let my creative side have some fun this year since I have had a lot of time off from it. Its time to just dust myself off and try again!

Learning to Sew - Along with designing I really want to sew some of my other designs to sell and it will give me a great sense of accomplishment if I can sew my own stuff.

Read a book a month - I know I will be able to do this and I will love every minute of it!

I will give all of these things a really good go and see where all of these take me.

Let me know if you have any goals you would like to achieve this year

Here's to a new year...
