Book Review - The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
Let me start by giving you a brief summary of the book (without giving too much away).... There is a boy named Ezra Faulkner, he is a popular star athlete and on his way to being named Prom King. Ezra believes that everyone has a tragedy waiting for them —a single encounter after which everything that really matters will happen. One night he is in a car accident which shatters his knee, his athletic career and his social life. Not knowing where he fitted in at high school anymore, Ezra wound up back with his best friend from his childhood, at the same time a girl named Cassidy Thorpe comes into his life and she brings him along on her endless adventures and helps with his self discovery...
This book is a coming of age novel that can hit so many different points. Everything from friendships, love, and self discovery; all the things teenagers and young adults struggle with are addressed in the book. I am 24 years old and I can relate to this!
It is witty and engaging for the reader. The main character Ezra is really easy to like and to put yourself in his shoes. That is what I love most about books; the way I easily become the character in the book. Robyn has really shown how talented she is with her exceptional concepts and vocabulary. She can describe in such vivid detail every aspect of place the characters are or how they feel in a situation.
If you enjoy stories that dont end the way you think they will and things that keep you coming back for more than 'The Beginning of Everything' is for you!
Hope you decide to read it or you have and wish to share your thoughts!
Lots of Love,
Rhiannon
